Roberto Magris: de regreso en los Estados Unidos con el mejor jazz / Roberto Magris: back in the United States with the best jazz

(Roberto Magris Quartet, Los Angeles 2006 con / with Art Davis: contrabajo / acoustic bass, John Alesi: batería / drums, Tony Lakatos: saxo / sax).

After last year presentations the jazz audience in the United States it's waiting for another Roberto Magris (Trieste, 1959) tour, well, sometimes wishes come true.
On sunday 1, july 2007, 4 pm., Roberto Magris (a jazz pianist with an immense talent, since the '70 playing all over Europe, Africa, and America, from New York to Buenos Aires...) will be in the famous club "The Blue Room" (a museum -an important part from the American Jazz Museum- by day, a jazz club by night, a place you must visit if you travel to Kansas City, Missouri).
Two great musicians will be playing along Roberto Magris: Art Davis (acoustic bass master, just to name a partner in Art Davis career: John Coltrane, but also an important presence in hundreds of jazz albums, playing with the best of the best, and beyond jazz: New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Radio City Music Hall Symphony) and Jimmy Jackson (for twenty years playing drums with Jimmy Smith, and partner in projects with McCoy Tyner; George Benson; Carlos Santana, and Christian McBride) on drums.
The idea, a really good one, is to pay tribute to another great jazz pianist Jay McShann, and the day after the concert a recording for a Roberto Magris new album, with this wonderful trio.
In august 8, Roberto Magris will be playing at the Budapest Jazz Festival 2007, but now, it's Kansas City time, to enjoy a sunday of excellent jazz.
